Free Bird Folk Music Festival is a 3 day long festival travelling back to the 60's. For Free Bird Folk Music Festival I wanted to encapsulate the authentic and untamed nature of folk music and the free spirit of the musicians and those who come to enjoy the music.
The logo, featuring a bird formed from the letter "F," symbolizing the freedom of the bird as well as drawing inspiration from the Gorge's beautiful sunsets.
Inspired by rustic folk art and the natural beauty of the festival's surroundings; I found the birds add a touch of liveliness and freedom, while the sunset adds warmth and comfort. This visual identity sets for a festival celebrating music, freedom, and unity.
By opting for warm, muted tones, the design reflects the nostalgia and tradition found in folk music. The use of earthy colours imparts a timeless quality, resonating with the genre's rural roots and communal values that has been present across generations.
